Meet the team...

We are incredibly lucky here at Little Hens to have a great team who strive everyday to make a difference to a child's life. The benefits of our small team enable the children to form established relationships with all of us, ensuring they feel able to try new things, gain in confidence and seek reassurance from any of the team which in turn creates the best learning environment for the children.

Tracey

Originally from the Wirral, I moved to Hurstbourne Tarrant in 2002 and feel like I’ve been on holiday ever since as I look out onto thatched cottages and rolling hills.  I live with my husband, son and two daughters, and as a Mummy have experience of working with nurseries, childminders and nannies to meet my own childcare requirements over the years.  The weekends often involve taking my children to ballet, Tae Kwon Do and swimming, going on family days out and trying to find time to relax!

Syeda

My name is Syeda. I have been living in Andover for the last 14 years and I am a new member of the Little Hens team. I have completed my level 2 in Childcare and am hoping to complete my level 3 qualification soon. I am a proud mummy of two amazing boys and, as a result, have lots of experience working with children. A career in childcare has been my dream for a very long time, and I am enjoying working with Tracey and with all the children very much. I would say that I am a very cheerful, jubilant and overall caring person and I love helping others. My hobbies are cooking, spending time with my family and making things with my ‘creative’ arts and crafts skills.

Carolyn

I qualified in childcare in 2003 and have been working with children ever since in a variety of settings and environments.  Before working at Little Hens as Deputy Manager, I was a deputy manager in a nursery for 5.5 years.
In my spare time I love to craft, any excuse to use a glue gun especially when it is prep for the Christmas Craft Fair. I also have a passion for dramas and murder mystery, period or not, considering myself as the next Miss Marple!
I love to read when the opportunity arises, (which is usually when my husband drags me away from home to spend time around the lakes while he fishes for the next big one!), which is a nice compromise for both of us as long as it is dry and warm!

Charlotte

My name is Charlotte and I have been working at Little Hens for 4 years.  I am a Mummy to a beautiful little boy who I love spending my weekends with playing and taking him on adventures. I also love spending time with my family and close friends.  I am currently completing my Level 2 in Childcare.

Polly

My name is Polly. I have had lots of experience with children having 3 grown-up children of my own and 4 grandchildren, who I love spending time with. I also work with families to provide respite care for disabled adults, often taking them swimming and on days out, which is very rewarding. I live in Hurstbourne Tarrant where, in my spare time, I enjoy gardening and going on long walks with my three dogs.

Michelle

My name is Michelle and I started my journey with Little Hens in 2014. I moved from London to the lovely village of Hurstbourne Tarrant to start my family. I have 2 children, a boy who is at school and  little girl who loves coming to Little Hens with me. I previously worked in a nursery for just over 11 years, progressing to deputy and then managed the separate baby room. I gained my level 3 in childcare in 2009.
